Business: Barnard Software, Inc. (BSI) is a software development company. BSI develops, supports and markets several software solutions worldwide for users of IBM's VSE/ESA operating system. BSI also provides VSE/ESA performance and tuning consulting services. BSI works very closely with its VSE/ESA customers to find the best System/390 solutions to fit their needs for today and tomorrow.

BSI developed and markets the OPTI-product line including: OPTI-AUDIT, OPTI-CACHE, OPTI-TAPE and OPTI-WORKLOAD. IBM has licensed BSI's OPTI-AUDIT product for non-exclusive worldwide distribution BSI is currently developing and marketing a new product line called TCP/IP-TOOLS which is targeted at the growing TCP/IP for VSE market. These TOOLS include a VSE/ESA TCP/IP Communications stack, FTP Client/Server, TN3270E Servers, GZIP, Batch Email Client, NTP Client/Server and Remote Execution Facility.

Goals: BSI strives to provide the VSE/ESA market with quality tools and the highest quality of technical support at a reasonable cost.

History: BSI is an Ohio corporation and has been in business since 1993. Jeffrey C. Barnard, one of the founders of BSI, has over 30 years' experience with mainframe hardware and software.

Headquarters: BSI handles all development, technical support, administrative, sales and marketing from its corporate headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida. BSI has distribution agreements with companies to market and distribute BSI products around the world.
